Updated Dress Code Policy
2011 – 2012
For the past thirteen years, Bernardo Yorba Middle School has had a mandatory uniform dress policy. Over the years, more and more parents have chosen to exempt their children from the mandatory uniforms by signing a waiver, as is their right by education code. While we still see tremendous benefit in school uniforms and encourage parents to require their children to wear uniforms, it will become a voluntary uniform dress policy and parents will no longer be required to sign a waiver. Uniforms will still be available and it is our belief that many parents will choose to keep their children in uniform. With that, we have updated our dress code policy which will be strictly enforced. Please refer to the new dress code prior to shopping for school clothes.
